Department has established in1947 Dr .G. subba Rao was the founder head of the department. Geology department has five combinations I.e. Geology Maths Physics, Geology Chemistry, Geology Botany, Chemistry, Geology Zoology Chemistry, Geology Miletry Science . Department is also running Courses since 1952 A lot of student has been selected in different organizations like ONGC, GSI, AMD, IBM, MECL etc. High class Reserch activity in the department at present 3 professors are posted in the same department we’re they have got degree in the Same department at many more students selected in Assistant Professor examination. As well as department has very good lab facilities and the museum which in the biggest in MP.
